Brilliant, Dickensian ghost story. I’m a lover of a mountaineering book anyway, so in the sweet spot for this. Read in an evening.

Station Eleven

Very enjoyable post-apocalyptic storytelling, managing succinct world-building and character building excellently. It could have been Contagion, but Crash was probably closer to the mark.
